Our bedroom carpet was fitted on 18 December, just in time for us to free up the guest room for Adrian's mum and dad coming to stay. (In case you are wondering, the silver circles under the window house the transformers for the extension lights, and will eventually be boxed in by a window seat.) We haven't yet ordered our new bed, but the mattress on the floor is perfectly comfy!
The ensuite is finished too (although the first sink we ordered had to be returned after
it leaked). We are delighted with the picture wall in the shower: trees outside the window, and inside!
We held an Open House for all our neighbours on 20 December, welcoming about 40-50 people for coffee and mince pies, and a guided tour for those who wanted one. Adrian would rather I had waited until the whole house was finished - but that might be NEXT Christmas!
Adrian has two weeks off work over Christmas and New Year, so plenty of time for more DIY, although we are trying to encourage him to take the odd day off! We enjoyed a lovely family meal down The Gun for his birthday on the 22nd.
